Tantra Vinyasa 200 hour YTT

The 200 hour Tantra Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is for yogis seeking to advance knowledge & connection. This 200 hour course provides a strong foundation for Yoga students interested in deepening their personal practice, cultivating their guidance skills, refining their energetic awareness and immersing themselves in self study with a small community of like-minded individuals. 

This course is offered by Yoga Alliance eRYT credentialed individuals who also have formal education rooted in biomechanics, physiology, education, anatomy, and extensive study of energetics & yogic philosophy. The intention of this curriculum is to not only prepare students for teaching Yoga, but also to strengthen the connection with one’s own body and foster an ongoing commitment to purpose driven living & teaching.

Curriculum Overview

The Tantra Vinyasa YTT is organized into six modules:

  • Anatomy and Physiology - learning the basics of the human body

  • Alignment and Assisting - understanding safety in postures

  • Energetics of Asana - introduction to how postures and pranayama shape Prana

  • Koshas and Prana - A deeper dive into how to use Prana to shape our experience

  • The Wisdom of Tantra - Diving into the sister science of Ayurveda, the history of Yoga and the philosophy of various practices

  • The Four Desires - Vichara is the practice of using the tools of asana, pranayama, meditation and self reflection to become the best version of ourselves.

Participants will also complete a personal project and design & deliver a Yoga class on a topic within the scope of this training. Some class time is allowed for the development of personal projects. Additionally, participants receive a one-to-one coaching conversation with one of the facilitators.

  • The Secret Power of Yoga, Nischela Joy Devi

  • The Heart of Yoga, Desikachar

  • Yoga and Ayurveda, David Frawley

Dates & investment

This program is delivered with a combination of monthly weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 9-5 pm) and two evenings per month on Tuesdays from 5-9 pm. Attendance is required to satisfy the requirements for eRYT 200 credentialing from Yoga Alliance.

Course investment is $3350 in total or a $2900 early bird rate to be paid in full before August 1st, 2019. Payment plans are an option and there will be one scholarship space available to a qualified individual.

Course size is limited to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure a thorough experience for students. Applications can be downloaded and returned upon full completion via email to reynolds.heatherd@gmail.com no later than August 1st, 2019. One individual will be selected to participate under scholarship covering the full amount of the program, less a $500 deposit. To be considered, a full application along with the scholarship application are required to be submitted.
